, it is wet, pam where i am it is dry on ocean beach but you can see where we are looking at the rain in the pacific ocean. this is what we're looking after motion beach and people have been posting videos all day from that rain storm. , all of the sheets of rainfall that were coming down in san francisco earlier today. >> this wet day near the bay with dozens of pictures posted on facebook. cloud formations were a sight to see. san francisco and surrounding areas got hit with showers at one point it was coming down in sheets and the next was sunday with eight blue sky. many people were inside of their homes and offices and preferred to watch to wait until it was over. san francisco did not to tear tourists as they did a practical and teach it did not to tea the tear--deter the tourists. it is dry right no in ocean beach but perhaps out into the distance i know that it is difficult foresee perhaps but there are a slew of showers coming through for pacifica. it could be getting wet very soon. reporting live in san francisco, a georgetown, kron 4 news. >> it has been a rainy day. j. r.

the neighborhood effort now top track down the suspects. good morning, claudine. >> reporter: good morning, pam. this is the wood lake neighborhood here in fairfield. you can see it's a quiet residential community. when someone started stealing the mail they took matters into their own hands and got this video. i want to show you surveillance video taken by a series of neighbors. it shows a man and woman pulling up to mailboxes and taking mail. they took this video after mail started disappearing and they all got together and were surprised by what they saw. >> grabs the mail, jumps back in the car. the car starts moving before he's back in. so very obvious something is not right there. >> reporter: this all happened within the last week. it was a sort of sting operation by the neighborhood watch group here. they just put up their flags on their mailbox indicating they had mail in it. they have also gotten on facebook, they put it out on e- mail, they have gotten on local television stations as well to try to put this out there. there is not enough detail on the video to see the clear faces of

, this is what was put together with the help of pam and the department which was sent then to the managing director, managing deputy director, ted yamasaki, at the department of human resources. he kind of went over that and made sure that it fit the correct language and that all the points were covered. i will say i believe pam did a great job putting it together and we came back with very little comments and i felt reassured it was good enough to give him the direction to send out, which he did. i asked him for an update and if you will bear with me, i will read what he sent to me. the request for infr malproposal drafted by pamela and finalized by dhr were sent out via email from brent lewis to the list of preapproved contractors on october 2, 2012. the deadline for submission is october 22, 2012. we asked replies be sent directly to me. to date i have received one proposal but my experience is many contractors will wait until the last minute to submit their proposal. given the published guidelines i am expecting a summary of cost be sent to president mccarthy. without having to draw
